Public invited to take part in forums and charrettes for "Harbour-front Enhancement Review - Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Adjoining Areas" (HER) project

The Sub-committee on Wan Chai Development Phase II (WDII) Review under the Harbour-front Enhancement Committee (HEC) will organise a number of public forums and community charrettes as part of its public engagement exercise, namely "Harbour-front Enhancement Review - Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Adjoining Areas" (HER).

The Sub-Committee is now embarking on the Envisioning Stage of the HER project to engage the community at an early stage to solicit their visions on the types of harbour-front developments they aspire for at Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and the adjoining areas, while acknowledging the opportunities available and the constraints for development.

At the Envisioning Stage, members of the public, professionals and interested parties are invited to participate in the public forums and the community charrettes. Details are as follows:

There will be three stages in the HER project - the Envisioning Stage, Realisation Stage and Detailed Planning Stage. The visions, wishes and concepts expressed in the Envisioning Stage will guide the preparation of the Concept Plan and Master Plan. Members of the public will be invited again in the Realisation Stage to evaluate the Concept Plan and Master Plan. Based on the consensus arrived at the Realisation Stage, the draft Wan Chai North Outline Zoning Plan (OZP) will be prepared in the Detailed Planning Stage.
